Two things that save us both a round trip

Most tickets are resolved on the first reply when they arrive with enough detail — and a good number never need to be sent at all.

What to include in your message

  1. Your site URL and whether WordPress is installed at the domain root.
  2. Which AI client you are connecting — Claude Desktop, Claude.ai, ChatGPT, Cursor, Windsurf, or Gemini CLI.
  3. Which auth method you used: one-click OAuth 2.1, JWT, or an application password.
  4. Plugin versions for the free plugin and Pro, plus your WordPress and PHP versions.
  5. The exact error, copied as text rather than described, and a screenshot if there is one.
  6. Your host and CDN — Cloudflare, SiteGround, LiteSpeed, and similar are behind most connection failures.

Common issues you can fix right now

Your AI client cannot connect Usually the host or a firewall interfering with the MCP endpoint, not the plugin. On Cloudflare, “Block AI Bots” and Bot Fight Mode both block Claude and ChatGPT — add a WAF skip rule for /wp-json/awfah_mcp/.
Host returns an HTML challenge page SiteGround and similar hosts run anti-bot filters that answer MCP requests with a challenge. Ask support to exclude /wp-json/awfah_mcp/ from bot protection.
OAuth handshake fails REST responses must never be cached. Exclude /wp-json/ from LiteSpeed Cache, Varnish, or any full-page cache — a cached OAuth response breaks the exchange.
WordPress is in a subdirectory One-click OAuth discovery uses .well-known URLs at the domain root, so it needs WordPress at the root and served over HTTPS. On subdirectory installs, use the JWT or application password fallback.
“AI analysis failed” Almost always means no AI provider is configured. Check Settings → Connectors, then enable WP_DEBUG_LOG and look for lines starting with [AtlasAI Connector].

Do you offer support for the free plugin?

Yes. Post on the WordPress.org support forum and we will answer there. Priority email support is a Pro benefit, but we do not ignore free users.

Can you help me install or configure it on my site?

We provide setup guidance for installation, connecting your AI client, and access control. For bespoke development or custom abilities, email us and describe the scope.
