Experiments bring AI-powered features directly into the WordPress block and classic editors. They allow you to generate, improve, and manage content using connected AI providers such as OpenAI, Google Gemini, and Anthropic Claude.
To configure Experiments settings follow the below steps:
Navigate to AtlasMCP plugin dahsboad → click Experiments tab.
AI Providers #
The AI Provider powers all AtlasMCP AI Experiments. It is not required for the MCP server.
- OpenAI: Supports text and image generation.
- Google Gemini: Supports text and image generation.
- Anthropic Claude: Supports text generation.
Connecting an AI Provider #
To use AI Experiments, connect at least one supported AI provider. This will work with the Official WordPress AI plugin.
- Go to the AI Provider section.
- Choose a provider you want to connect.
- Click Connect → Install your preferred AI Provider is not installed yet.
- Enter your API Key and click Save.
- Once connected, the provider becomes available for AI Experiments.
Available AI Experiments #
AtlasMCP includes six AI-powered experiments that are integrated directly into the WordPress block and classic editors.
Excerpt Generation
- Generates an excerpt for your post.
- Available from the post sidebar excerpt panel.
- You can hide the official WordPress AI plugin’s version when both provide the same feature.
Feature Image Generation
- Generates an AI-powered featured image.
- Available from the featured image panel.
- You can hide the official WordPress AI plugin’s version.
Summarization
- Generates a summary of your post content.
- Available from the post summary panel.
- You can hide the official WordPress AI plugin’s version.
Title Suggestions
- Generates title suggestions for your content.
- Available from the editor toolbar.
- You can hide the official WordPress AI plugin’s version.
Alt Text Generation
- Generates alt text for images.
- Available for image blocks.
- You can hide the official WordPress AI plugin’s version.
Content Generation
- Generates content using AI.
- Available from the post status panel.
- You can hide the official WordPress AI plugin’s version.
